This blog writing contest, in overall has been a tremendous success because of zealous public participation and overwhelming involvement during the whole event. There were total of 17 entries which underwent two stages of selection. Even though every blog articles were effective and unique in its own way, only 5 of them were kept for public voting.

The winners were selected based on number of votes and number of individual involved in creative discussion via web platform. As a matter of fact, this contest has showcased many ideas, opinions and knowledge of people related to ICTs and agriculture.

In Nepal, there is a growing reach of telecommunication and internet services. Cellular telephony in particular has impressive penetration with current penetration rate crossing well over 90%. With the increasing use of mobile phone and internet, private sectors investment in e-agricultural technology is also increasing.

Besides this, Nepal seriously lacks in digital agriculture information system/database. There is a need of integrated agriculture information system supporting every value chains in order to provide strategic information for farmers, government agencies, agricultural cooperative s and other stakeholders.

The general perception about ICTs has been limited to its adoption only but is lagging in creative utilization of available resources. It is considered as rocket science and a single pill to every solution however Nepal seriously lacks in essential structure to support such ambitions.  But people surely are aware and has realized their importance. We just need ways to cultivate such concepts and ideas.
